Sticktropolis privacy policy

Sticktropolis is made by Northern Games ("we"). This page explains what information the game uses and why.

The short version

• The game has no accounts and asks for no name, email or contact details.
• Your company, its staff and its money are saved on your device only.
• The game shows adverts from Google AdMob, which collects information about your device to show and measure adverts.
• If you agree, the game sends anonymous play statistics to Google Analytics for Firebase. You can turn this off at any time in Options.

Adverts (Google AdMob)

The game shows rewarded adverts: an advert plays only when you choose to watch one in exchange for something in the game.

To show and measure adverts, Google AdMob collects information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device type and operating system, and how you interact with adverts. Google uses it to show adverts, to limit how often you see the same one, to measure them and to prevent fraud.

If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you are asked before any advert is requested whether adverts may be personalised. You can change your answer at any time in Options > Advert privacy choices.

You can reset or opt out of your advertising ID in your phone's settings.

Play statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

Only if you say yes, the game sends anonymous statistics about how it is played: for example which buttons are used, how many staff companies reach, and which incidents happen. These come with an app-specific identifier and basic device information (model, operating system version, country) but nothing that identifies you by name. They are used only to improve the game.

You can switch this off at any time in Options > Share play statistics.

Notifications

If you allow them, the game sets reminders (for example, that your daily bonus is ready). These are created and shown by your phone itself; nothing is sent to us. You can turn them off in Options > Reminders or in your phone's settings.

The time

To stop earnings while away being faked by changing the phone's clock, the game reads the current time from the response to an ordinary web request to Google, Cloudflare or Apple. Nothing about you or the game is sent with it, beyond what any web request carries (such as your IP address).

Children

The game is not directed at children. It is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Keeping and deleting information

Your save stays on your device until you uninstall the game or choose START AGAIN. We hold no copy of it. Information collected by Google is kept under Google's own policies, linked above.
